Choose a reactor circulator using process heat load, temperature range, fluid compatibility, jacket limits and control needs.
Define the complete heat load
Supply the reactor working volume, vessel material, contents and required heat-up or cool-down time. Include any process heat release or absorption. Vessel volume alone is not enough to specify heating and cooling capacity.
Compare capacity at the working temperature
Ask for heating and cooling performance at the temperatures you actually use. A minimum temperature rating does not state how much heat the unit can remove at that temperature. Confirm ambient conditions and available utilities.
Match fluid, flow and jacket pressure
Confirm heat-transfer fluid compatibility across the full temperature range. Compare pump flow and pressure with the reactor jacket and hose limits. Discuss expansion capacity, insulation, hose connections and the proposed circulation arrangement.
Choose how temperature is measured
Clarify whether the control target is circulating fluid or the reaction contents, and whether an external sensor is supported. Request the proposed control arrangement, operating limits and installation instructions.
